Pink Lacy are a favorite cactus flower, not only for their brilliant but nearly transparent pink petals, but also because they bloom right around my birthday and it takes a little hunting to find them. Very short, they hide on limestone outcroppings all year, then, when they can't stand it a minute longer, they burst into short lived pink grandeur.
